North American Watercolor Artists

In October 2010,

Carol Carter, Keiko Tanabe, Thomas Schaller, Mark Mehaffey, Nicholas Simmons
and I formed a new watercolor group in order to represent the United States in international watercolor exhibitions. We have exhibited together in the following exhibitions:

IX International Watercolor Biennial in Mexico, held at the National Watercolor Museum in Mexico City Dec. 2010-Feb. 2011.

II Bienal Iberoamericana de la Acuarela in Madrid, Spain, held at the Museuo de la Casa de la Moneda, Sept. 14-28, 2011

This spring we will be exhibiting at the 4th International Watercolor Triennial in Colombia. The exhibition will be held at the Bolivarian Museum Foundation of Contemporary Art from May 2 – July 17, 2012.

Nicholas Simmons preparing to ship artwork to Madrid

NAWA is holding it's first group exhibition in the United States at Strathmore in Bethesda, Maryland from January 7 through February 4, 2012. The reception will be held January 8 from 2-4pm. All of our members will be present together for the first time!
